Understanding the importance of financial communication and transparency within the family unit is what originally led me down the path of financial planning. I believe that when everyone feels comfortable asking questions and can obtain a clear understanding, families and individuals have the opportunity to thrive both personally and financially.

As a child, I maintained a vast collection of rocks. Although many of my rocks were nothing special to look at, each one reminded me of a story, person or moment in my life. I must admit that this collection has transcended time into my adult life. I love walking the shores of Lake Michigan hunting for unique stones to add to my collection. Petoskey stones are one of my favorite stones to search for on the beaches near my home.

Spending time at the beach with a good book or checking out a local brewery or winery with my husband.
I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Accounting and later continued on to the College of William and Mary to study Auditing. My attention to detail but love for interacting with clients led me down the path of Financial Planning. I have spent 6 years in the industry, with time at both Edward Jones and M.J. Smith and Associates. During my time in the industry, I have earned my Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Public Accountant designations.
While maintaining a close professional and personal relationship with Alexa Kane, I was introduced to Melissa Joy and Pearl Planning. Melissa’s leadership in the industry and knowledge of financial planning is second to none. I am so excited to join Melissa and her incredible team at Pearl Planning.
When I’m not working, I love to check out restaurants and wineries in the area with family and friends. As new homeowners in Northern Michigan, my husband Jeff and I also fill many weekends with home renovation projects.

Data provided by SHOOKTM Research, LLC as of July 2017. The Working Mother and SHOOK research ranking is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data. SHOOK Research considered wealth advisers who are mothers with at least one child living at home and under the age of 18 with a minimum 5 years of industry experience. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures derived from telephone and in-person interviews and surveys: service models, investing process, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, etc.; and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisers rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research LLC. Neither SHOOK nor Working Mother receives compensation from the advisers or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking. Raymond James is not affiliated with Working Mother or Shook Research, LLC. This ranking is not indicative of advisor’s future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients’ experience. Neither Raymond James nor any of its Financial Advisors or RIA firms pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating.
